The Ancient Town of Colchester

Colchester is located in the south-east of England. It is Britain’s oldest recorded town and was the Roman capital of Britain when the Romans ruled here. It is a vibrant, growing town with a population of over 100,000. ILC Colchester is located in a beautiful, historic building close to the town centre. History is everywhere in Colchester and the centre-piece is Castle Park with its beautifully laid out gardens. The castle itself is an impressive and iconic reminder of our Norman and Roman past. Colchester also has a great shopping scene and night life. There are many attractive places of interest in the surrounding country and the coast is not far away. On top of all that, it has great transport links to London, Stansted and the rest of the country.
